Im so sad and i need help. please!?

Okay so, basically theres this guy. i met him through my best guy friend who is his best friend. ive liked him wince i met him which to be honest, wasn't too long ago..about 4 months. according to my friend, he "used to like him" i dont know what 'used to' means considering i've only been talking to him for a short time. but we talk online all the time but the only time i've actually hung out with him in person besides seeing him occasionally at school {previously} was once when i was with my best guy friend {his best friend} but he barely looked at me because {here comes the problem} hes semi-obssessseddd with this girl and she was there when we all hung out so she was all he focoused on. he alwayysssss talks about her and so "depressed" (or so he says, yes SAYS) because she has a boyfriend. everyone thinks its really annoying but i really like him (he doesn't know it) and i want him to be happy but i hate when he talks about her its so annoying + it hurts me because i lke him!
