Why is everyone so down on Kevin Federline?

He has gotten numerous women pregnant, Brit knew he was already married and yet pursued him to father her kids and yet this guy is portrayed by the media as the loser. What's with that surely there were thousands of men who would gladly take his place as Britney's choice. So why is he the bad guy here?
