Why are so much of the indigent Black?

The new "civil rights" leaders like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are telling black people that they are stupid and need reparations. Black people are only poor because they're believing the lies being told to them that they are inferior. Ask any black person that is successful and they will tell you that they decided to help themselves and do something with their life.
