Which shows more moral fiber Character: A Christian marriage ending in divorce, or a successful Gay marriage?

i see marriage as just something written down on paper. if people want to stay together, they should be able to do it on they're own without being legally bound. the fact that thousands of gay couples have not been able to marry, yet thousands of christian couples have not been able to stay together even if they are married is telling.
