Poll: Do you ever get to spend a life with the person you love?

After all, we loved only to have lost. I'm cynical about love and all, I think one never gets the person he or she loves the most, for some reason we are destined to part with our love as happened with a person I knew, he was madly in love with a woman, then all of a sudden she was diagnosed with blood cancer and ped away within 3 weeks. Now he is almost a mental patient, only for love.
