Matthew 24:15 .What is 'he abomination that causes desolation?

In 70 CE when Jerusalem and the temple (the religious entity) was destroyed the "abomination" was the Romans who destroyed it, (the political entity). When the end comes in our day the world empire of false religion (the religious entity) will be destroyed by the political forces of this system of things. Revelation Chapter 17 and 18 says that God puts it into the hearts of the kings of the earth to destroy Babylon the Great, the world empire of false religion. So this destruction of false religion comes at God's command and he uses the earthly armies to do his bidding just as he did in 607 BCE and 70 CE when Jerusalem and the temple were destroyed.
